There is nothing quite like the smell of books or the thrill of turning the page. I'm not sure I would enjoy reading off of a screen. I love to mark up my books--highlighting things, writing in the margins, making comments...and you can't do that with these devices. I'm all for saving the trees, but I'm not sure I could sacrifice actual books. I sort of have this dream where I'll have my own huge library to peruse... and while you may be able to store x amount of information on these things, I don't think they will have the longevity that books provide. The page refresh is about the same as it takes to turn the page of a book. Toting a hundred books at one time onto an airplane is another great feature.
