I am so skeptical of these sorts of devices. There is nothing quite like the smell of books or the thrill of turning the page. I'm not sure I would enjoy reading off of a screen.

I love to mark up my books--highlighting things, writing in the margins, making comments...and you can't do that with these devices.

I'm all for saving the trees, but I'm not sure I could sacrifice actual books.

I sort of have this dream where I'll have my own huge library to peruse... and while you may be able to store x amount of information on these things, I don't think they will have the longevity that books provide.

Dunno... that's just me, playing devils advocate. Sorry.

I have been using my Kindle for several months now. The page refresh is about the same as it takes to turn the page of a book. Toting a hundred books at one time onto an airplane is another great feature. And the lower prices of books and saving all those trees makes me feel good, too. Thanks from us at www.bentpage.wordpress.com.

I'm so envious. I've been lusting after one myself. I've got it on my Christmas list. Let me know how it works out.
